Introduction to Membership Scheme
UnionPay International works closely with institutions worldwide to achieve win-win cooperation and mutual benefit through a membership scheme.
Under the membership scheme, UnionPay International and member institutions have formed a community of common interests instead of merely business partnership. In accordance with the UnionPay International Bylaws of Membership, members may participate in the establishment or amendment of membership rules and operating regulations and the development of membership incentive schemes through the Member Council and its sub-committees.
Upon the establishment of UnionPay International, 67 major international financial institutions joined as founding members, exercising member rights and fulfilling member obligations in accordance with the Bylaws of Membership. Since then, an increasing number of institutions have been joining UnionPay International as members, which will certainly accelerate the business development of the company.
